Dr.G.G.Mansharamani has been Director, Professor and Head of Medicine at prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College and associated LNJP and GB Pant hospitals. He graduated from SMS Medical College in 1959 and did his MD in 1963. He started his career in JIPMER, Pondicherry and then worked in Lady Hardinge Medical College and finally retired as Director Professor & Head Medicine Department.

At present he is working as Senior Consultant in Medicine in Kalra Hospital & SRHIRC Research Centre. He has teaching experience of 43 years He has trained more than 4000 undergraduates (MBBS) students and 200 MD students. He has more than 150 publications in various journals in India and Abroad. He has written four books. He has contributed chapters in text books of Medicine. His research work has been quoted by foreign books- Friedberg Cardiology.

His main interest has been cardiology, rheumatology and recently upcoming branch of Geriatrics. He has attended many conferences in India and abroad. Recently he has been to USA and gave lecture on Hypertension, life styles and Hinduism. He feels Indian way of living life is the best way of living Healthy life. His work on this has been quoted by many American papers.

Dr.Mansharamani is advisor to WHO in field of Geriatrics. He represented India at Egypt and Jordan. He has organized 6 WHO workshops and many National and International conferences and update sessions. He is selected as chairman of WHO conferences for south east Asian region for 1998-99 Dr.Mansharamani is fellow of many Academic societies and has been awarded fellowship of Medicine, International Science academy Electrocardiography, Diabetes and Environmental society. He has given lectures on Radio, TV, Rotary and lion clubs. He got gold medal on his work in Hyponatraemia in Elderly He has been given the honour of Sindhu Rattan for his work in Geriatrics and was honoured with Rattan Shiromani by International society for Unity and Peace.
