Dr. Gurneet Singh Sawhney is a renowned neurosurgeon with over 14 years of expertise. Brain Surgery, Brain Tumor Surgery, Spine Surgery, Epilepsy Surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery (DBS), Vascular Neurosurgery, AVM Surgery, Aneurysm, Parkinson’s Treatment, and Seizure Treatment are among his specialties. His research interests include Functional and Seizure Neurosurgery, as well as Stereotactic Neurosurgery.
He has specialized training in Simple and Complex Spine Surgery, as well as CVJ and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Endoscopic Pituitary Surgery, and Neuro-Oncology.
The Times Group awarded him the “Most Promising Neurosurgeon in Maharashtra” title in 2016 for his outstanding work in rural areas. He is an honorary member of the Neurosurgical Society of India (NSSI), the Neurological Society of India (NSI), the Midwest Chapter of Neurological Surgeons (MCNS), the Bombay Neurosciences Association (BNA), the Association of Medical Consultants (AMC), and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Mulund.
After receiving his MBBS from Terna Medical College in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra Health Sciences, in 2004, he went on to St. John’s Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, to pursue his MS in General Surgery in 2010. In 2014, he received his MCh in Neurosurgery from the same college. In 2017, he completed a Fellowship in Neuroendoscopy as well as MISS Hands on Training.
