What is the Recovery after Minimally Invasive Knee Replacement Surgery like?

This treatment is less invasive and recovery is faster than a conventional TKR. The surgery and recovery times are usually shorter, and the patient experiences less discomfort.

You may experience some pain and discomfort after the surgery which shall be controlled with medications. You will be advised to start walking with the help of walkers the next day. You will be advised to undergo physiotherapy to strengthen the muscles.

You can resume routine activities in 2-3 weeks after the surgery and an active lifestyle in about 4-6 weeks. You would be advised to refrain from doing certain high impact activities like jogging and jumping etc. for a few weeks.
