MIOT, Madras Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology was started by renowned Prof Dr. P. V. A. Mohandas in 1999 as a 70 bedded hospital, which has grown to a quaternary super-specialty 1000 bedded hospital in a span of fewer than two decades.
MIOT offers more than 63 specialties and has one of the best imaging departments and state-of-the-art laboratories, which is ranked 8th in the whole world.
