-
Heart Surgeon’s Fees

IndiCure recommends only experienced, skilled, board-certified surgeons who are capable of delivering successful heart surgeries. Although the charges may vary depending on the experience of the surgeon, you can be completely assured of being in safe and experienced hands when you choose heart surgery in India with IndiCure.
-
Type of Surgery and Surgical Approach
A significant portion of the overall cost of a heart surgery arises from the type of cardiac surgery required. IndiCure recommends you to explore the surgical options by having a telephonic/ video call with our cardiac surgeon. This would give you a much better idea about the procedure that you would undergo, the expected outcome and also the surgeon’s expertise. With the hopes of improving patient care, new techniques and technologies are often introduced to the surgical process. Such innovative advancements in the surgical approach and use of state of the art technology can increase costs.
-
Surgical Facility
Having your heart surgery in an accredited surgical facility by skilled and qualified medical staff is a critical factor. Moreover, the geographical location of the facility also affects the initial quote. But, IndiCure provides you with a projected estimate that will be all inclusive and affordable.
-
Surgery-Related Expenses
The surgery-related expenses include the pre- and post-surgical expenses. The pre-surgical expenses are associated with the age and medical condition of the patient and thus the number and type of investigations required. Post-surgical expenses may include prescription medications and follow-up consultations.
We at IndiCure, understand that you travel with a budget in mind and do not like to be greeted by surprises after arrival in India. We thus club all these expenses and give you the package cost that is all-inclusive and affordable at the same time.
Your case manager shall give you an estimated cost of your surgery after discussing your medical reports with the surgeon. The final cost, however, shall be confirmed after your consultation with the surgeon.

There is absolutely no catch. The cost of cardiac surgery in India and for that matter, medical treatment in India is much less because of the following
reasons:
Low cost of endowment in India : Qualified doctors, surgeons, nursing staff, lower investments costs, subsidies by government to private healthcare sector are more as compared to other countries

Yes, almost all heart surgery patients undergo angiography before cardiac surgery. Other tests are also performed before any anesthesia is given.
This includes:
- Blood tests to evaluate chemistries, blood count and blood type.
- Chest X-ray to evaluate lungs and heart size.
- Carotid Doppler to evaluate blood vessels in the neck leading to the brain.
- Other tests that your doctor feels you must undergo before the surgery
The surgeon makes all efforts to avoid blood transfusion. If you may need blood, the blood banks are there at the hospital to supply blood. The blood banks at the hospitals in India are FDA approved and adhere to international standards of blood screening for all infectious diseases such as AIDS, Hepatitis etc.
We advise you to bring an attendant with you if you are coming for a serious treatment like heart surgery.
In case you are traveling alone for the treatment, we advise you to extend your stay at the hospital till you can be on your own. We shall assist you with a nurse that can take care of you while you are at the hotel, but the best option would be to bring an attendant for physical and emotional support while you recover.
You need to be very careful in using your upper body to allow for your sternum bone to heal well. You should not push, pull or lift anything heavy for at least two months after the surgery. Your surgeon and the medical staff shall give you specific instructions about do’s and don’ts after the surgery. The physical therapist will tell you how to strengthen the muscles.
The duration of stay depends on the type of heart treatment or surgery you undergo. Typically, you would need around 2-3 weeks in India before you can fly back to your country.
Experience and turn around was great. I wouldn’t mind doing business with them again.
